In The Studio

I have a few exciting projects going on in the Studio!

A couple new Western songs, and Christmas songs that I hope to release later this year.

My Grandmother is 96. I had to re-record ‘The Christmas Song’ also known as ‘Chestnuts Roasting on an open Fire’ because of one lyric…. ‘and so I’m offering this simple phrase,… To kids from 1 to 92′… Why should my Grandmother be left out ! She’s 96 ! So, my version is… To kids from 1 to 102 ! I promised my Grandmother I would re-record it on her 103rd birthday.

Another special song I am recording is Silver and Gold. Burl Ives is still remembered by millions as the voice of Sam the Snowman, the narrator in the Television special, “Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer.”

Sam the Snowman

As a child, I couldn’t wait to watch my favorite Christmas Special. I was allowed to stay up late. I sat as close to the Television as my parents would allow, to hear Sam the Snowman ( who was made to look a lot like Burl ) sing and play his banjo.  (I remember my first stage… the family home fireplace hearth). You could say, Burl was my inspiration…
